Greetings in the name of the Lord!
Songs of praise and thanksgiving to God our Father for having endowed His creation Bishop Foss Westcott with the vision of education in the midst of wilderness. The sapling sown years back in 1921, in Namkom has now grown into a majestic tree of knowledge, spreading its branches out to provide education to the girl child and the fruit of which, is enjoyed by society at large.
It gives me immense pleasure to be associated with an institution like Bishop Westcott Girls’ School, Namkom, which has been at the forefront of dispensing quality education to the denizens of Jharkhand and its neighboring districts.
As Mark Twain has rightly said “To make your children capable of honesty, is the beginning of education”. Hence, we as Westcottians, have been striving to inculcate amongst the younger generation the values of honesty, integrity and discipline. Ever since its inception, our institution has played a pioneering role to improvise and bring out the best of the students. We have always focused empowering budding minds, aiming at developing intellect, to an unparalled level, and further open horizons for creativity. At Bishop Westcott Girls’ School, Namkom, children are believed in, honoured and cared for their natural talents and their creative minds, are explored and celebrated. Thus aiming at their holistic development.
Moreover in the changing scenario, the amalgamation of quality staff, has been incessantly grooming students, with perfect blend of academics, ethical values and sustainable leadership skills, to create young and dynamic citizens who will form the crux of the workforce of tomorrow, and lead the nation ahead. The guidance of the stalwarts of education, also instill the importance of independence and education in the young minds and remind them, the responsibilities that come with it, as they feel responsible, to craft them into marvels.
Being the head of the institution, I always look forward, to our motto “Onward and Upward” and march ahead and add numerous illustrious feathers, to the cap of Bishop Westcott Girls’ School, Namkom. In the end, I would like to extend my gratitude towards the Standing Council and Management, for their steadfast approach, vision and constant support in helping and believing in me, in every way, to take this school to great heights.
With Best Wishes.
Miss. N. Jacobs,
Bishop Westcott Girls School, Namkom.
